Since January of this year, you can add reminders to your Instagram posts. This new option is only available for professional accounts. You must have a business account or a creator account.
It's a handy option for indicating the start of an event, for example, or when a promotion or discount begins. If you add the date to the post, your followers who have reminders enabled will receive several reminders: 24 hours before, 15 minutes before, and when the event starts.
In such a reminder, your followers will see the name of the event or action, the name of your organization, and a link to the post containing the reminder.
How does it work?
You can currently only add a reminder to a post. This can be a post accurate cleaned numbers list from frist database with an image, video, or slideshow. This option isn't yet available for Reels and Stories, although you do have the countdown sticker available for those channels.
Adding a reminder to your post.
Besides setting a start time, you can also optionally specify an end time. When setting the correct time, you don't have to worry about time zones. Instagram automatically translates the correct time to your follower's local time.
Easily turn your highlight into a Reel
A fun new, simple trick in the app: you can now create a Reel from your Highlight with just one click. For those who don't know what a Highlight is: it's a collection of Stories you've pinned in a circle on your profile.
How does it work?
Open your highlight and click the three dots in the bottom right corner labeled "More." Then, select "Convert to Reel" and simply click the Reel icon that appears at the bottom of your screen (next to "Promote" and "More").
Creating Reels from Highlights
Besides making it incredibly easy for users to create a Reel consisting of multiple videos, adding this option will undoubtedly lead to more Reels being created. What more could Instagram ask for?
Adjust the text on your link sticker
We've known for a while now that Instagram has removed the swipe-up feature . Now, all accounts, big or small, with or without a blue checkmark, can add a link to a Story. Simply use the link sticker.
When this sticker was first added, you couldn't edit the sticker's link. By default, the text consisted of the main URL of the link you were sharing. For example, if you wanted to share the following link:
This was, of course, a logical choice for Instagram, but we quickly ran into a few problems as well. For example, 'frankwatching.com' is always a long text, so the sticker is always large. And if we wanted to share a tracking link, it wasn't immediately clear to our followers where it led. This can now be adjusted.
When entering the website you want to link to, you can now also specify the text you want to appear on the sticker. If you don't enter anything here, Instagram will still use the main URL.
